L.A. mayor wants citywide wireless access – Los Angeles Times
A twist in the municipals wireless project. As the reporter said, light poles are the great resource to install WiFi equipment. Since SCE owns the light pole, they do not allow the government to do anything with it, however this time in LA, the light pole are owned by the city, they can actually do something about it.
It is great to see more and more city are into this kind of plan to provide low to free Internet service to their resident. It will be beneficial to both residents and business.
