Intellectual Property in China

Google recently apologized for the violation on possible intellectual property infringement. How can such a big company committed to this type of error?

The business in China is well known to copy anything in order to boost sell. I have seen several cell phones that clone from other popular cell phone brands’ model. They pretty much look very similar. Even big search company such as Baidu, it has the look and feel of Google.

Why such action is encourage? I believe it is because people are not aware of the respect for intellectual property. It also because there is no intellectual property protection being enforced. Copy means OK for many.

Does intellectual property protection encourage creativity or it kills technology advances? I do not know. However, I really want to see China not to copy from others, instead, take the role of leadership.
