Adobe AIR

I recently came across with the Adobe AIR. I thought it is a pretty good platform.
The idea of building a web application and at the same time implement it into desktop to use when there is no Internet connection (still true at this moment in many places).
It is going to compete with Microsoft’s Silverlight and Google Pack.
So far, I see AIR is ahead, but who knows if Adobe AIR team will slack off?
