Official Google Blog: Our commitment to open broadband platforms
This is a good news for American Internet users. Having read recently about the Internet connection an average American has compare with the rest of the world, those ISP must be ashame to be a company delivering Internet connection to the place that invented the Internet.
Yes, you. AT&T Yahoo DSL.
My increasing impatient started with AT&T bought out my ISP Pacbell, continue on with buying out Cingular, and furious with the locked iPhone. Yes, I blame AT&T for this.
My customer service experience with Pacbell and Cingular were in the level of satisfaction. Now, it is just unacceptable.
I am happy now with Google taking the initiative to be consumer focus rather on the CEO bonus and stock value.
Last word: I support Google on their commitment.
