It is pleased to know how a private technology company uses its product not only to change the society but also provide help to the under privileges in their community.

GrandCentral’s goal is to provide a phone number as an single entry point to anyone that has more than one telephone number. It does not matter if you have a cell phone, landline, or work number, you can use the phone number GrandCentral provides to forward any calls to any one of the phone numbers.

GrandCentral has a project call CARE before it was acquired by Google. The CARE project provides a permanent number for those who cannot afford for housing and in need to have a phone number to keep them in touch to others.

It is very useful for them because it will be very helpful for the homeless to give the phone when they prepare for a interview with their prospective employers. They can also keep in touch with their attorney when they need legal advices.

GrandCentral has done a great job to serve the community through CARE. Now backing by Google, it will continue to shine as one of the product that revolutionize the local and technology community.
