The Google Phone

For the record, I did program on the Google mobile platform call Android on the first day of its release.

I surely was very excited about it because I have long believe that Google’s platform has always focus on the customers first. They take care of customers and in return the customers take care of them.

The long waited Android, better known as Google Phone, arrived. I programmed it on the Eclipse with plugin. When I first launch the emulator, how I wished I could have an physical phone with me. After written my first application, namely “Hello World”, I started to think about what other application I can develop. I thought, but then I was discouraged. The main reason is just because I do not really know what will the future mobile wireless industry be like. EDGE? 3G? Subscription model? Speed? Phone limitation?

At this point, I can only get myself familiar with the Android platform. Until a clear picture of the phone and wireless service, I do not want to develop something that is unlikely to work with the phone and the mobile service.
