Apple, AT&T, Google, and the FCC

Apple’s iPhone App Store has always been a mysterious place. The applications submitted to Apple for approval has sometimes mysteriously got rejected, or got accepted. Despite the unknown approval process of the App Store, no one really complain until when Apple decided to reject the Google’s Google Voice application.
The rejection of the Google Voice got the iPhone developers and the tech review sites furious. They cannot stand no more. Well, Apple still being Apple’s attitude, “I don’t care about what anyone is saying, we can do whatever we want.”
Not until the FCC came into the scene.
FCC requested Apple, AT&T, and Google to explain what happened to the Google Voice iPhone App.
I really thought in the beginning, it was AT&T being the bad guy. (Sorry AT&T, your reputation was not too good.) It was not.
_APPLE IS THE BAD GUY._
Not even they rejected the application, in the explanation to the FCC, they even lied about what they did. They went through at length saying that they did NOT reject the application, they were still processing it.
When my iPhone contract is up, unless Apple has shown their sincerity to change the way they deal with the iPhone, my relationship with Apple is over.
